Acne Acnomel Cream
Acne Acnomel Cream or Adult Acnomel is one of several commonly used brand names
for this acne medicine. It is a topical cream that is to be applied directly to the
affected areas of the skin to clear up pimples and prevent new ones from forming.
It has been shown to be effective in the treatment of
Acne Rosacea.
This acne cream does not contain benzoyl peroxide but does contain alcohol which, like
benzoyl peroxide, can cause excessive drying and/or peeling of the skin. It is not
recommended for large areas of broken skin.
The main active ingredients in Acne Acnomel Cream are
resorcinol and
sulphur, a combination frequently used to treat adult acne and blemishes.
It can be purchased without a prescription however, there are precautions and side effects
associated with it's use.
You should not use resorcinol and sulphur medication in combination with other topical
acne treatments such as benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid or alcohols. It is also not to
be used with harse soaps or medicated cosmetics.
You should check with your doctor for any special instructions for the use of
Acnomel cream .
At the very least, read the label carefully and follow the directions for use.
